Situation
Growing 100 million dollar manufacturer/distributor added a new position to oversee both outside sales along with inside sales & customer service. In addition the role was involved in helping set a sales strategy to manage focus on the right customer segments.

Our Approach
After gaining a strong understanding around the goals of the role, we sourced and built a pool of candidates who had experience with similar materials combined with defined customer segments experience.

Outcome
After interviewing several candidates… the company hired an individual with proven experience out of a competitor. The candidate has now been in place a year and has been successful building the team and increasing sales. The internal sales and external sales teams are now much more connected reporting to the same leader.

Kentwood Office – Chicago

Situation
After placing the CEO with a 40 million dollar office furniture company, the Director of Sales responsible for Illinois and Indiana resigned. This provided the new executive with the opportunity to upgrade the talent in the role.

Our Approach
We conducted extensive research and identified all the furniture manufacturers and dealerships in Chicago and started networking and conducting phone calls. We were looking for a progressive and high energy sales person to help not only grow but transform the Chicago operation.

Outcome
After several interviews… we found a person who had a great skill set and this person was also a very good fit with the new CEO. This new Director of Sales in Chicago has made an impact improving the talent on the team, expanding customer segments and increasing sales.

Thermal Tec – Director of Sales

Situation
Small privately owned building products distributor and contractor was looking for a new head of sales. This 50 year old family business had struggled to find the right person to lead sales. They had hired three people who did not work out.

Our Approach
After gaining a strong understanding of the position, goals and history, we began sourcing and recruiting for the role. We found 4 candidates who we felt brought strong corelative industry experience along with the capability to sell products based on quality and value vs. price.

Outcome
